Catching up with an Old Hobby

I've always had an interest in photography.  In high school, I built a pin-hole camera and learnt everything there is to know about exposure, shutter speeds, developing prints, and the rest... Well, I recently purchased a Nikon D5000 SLR camera.  Now that I'm armed with more powerful camera (kind of hard to take an interest in taking pictures when you own a point and shoot), it's time to pick up with my old hobby.

I don't know where I'm going to go with this.  I'm hoping to learn, practice and get some experience taking good photos.  Here's some photos from my first week of ownership.  Hopefully, there will be more to come.
